I am MIRCA, a former nurse now retired.
I am a volunteer and I am part of the Board Management. I came in contact with Cav years back during the carrying out of my then nurse job, in the obstetric and gynecological unit. What I love about the service is the possibility to take care of the mother and her child when they choose to carry on with pregnancy.
I am CARLA, retired.
I carry out my service in the warehouse, where I keep in order the donated items and I prepare what’s needed for these mums and their children. I came to know of Cav through the leaflets distributed in my Parish. Thanks to this service I had the opportunity to get to know a reality that would otherwise have been distant to me and through Cav I was able to create relationships that enriched me highly.
I am ELISA, I work in the HR department in a bank.
I serve on the Board Management as a secretary and I deal with the new mum’s interviews and their pathways. I got to know of Cav in 2013 through a friend of mine, who was one of the association founder member and ever since Cav has been part of my life. Service in Cav is both simple and complex: it all depends on your attitude towards the situation. The women we meet are often fragile, lonely and they do not know how to deal with the unwanted pregnancy. Every single time I try my best to listen to them, accompany them and make them feel less lonely, with no judgment and with love.
